The A3C vet is fantastic live as well, check out his next scheduled date with the EARN below.

A plethora of new releases dropped recently from Shigeto, Yamin Semali, All The Saints, Yvette, and a double LP from heRobust. More details on last weeks releases below:

heRobust – Late Night/Morning After LP’s

Atlanta’s Hayden Kramer has been catching the ear of beat junkies for a while with his material under the heRobust alias. His debut album, 2011′s Albumin, grabbed our attention early and we haven’t been able to look away since. His sophomore offering is a breathtaking double LP which shows just how far a musician of this caliber can grow in a short year’s time. It’s still got that signature heRobust sound (the amazing synths, tasty bass, and overarching genius sound design), but Kramer’s development is all too clear as he incorporates new mind boggling tricks to craft a release that will forever cement his place in the genre.

All The Saints – Intro To Fractions

Local rockers, All The Saints, hone their finely tuned rock sound with this second release. Recorded at various studios all around the city, the album has a (more developed) All The Saints sound, while ensnaring a bit of the nomadic spirit that went into it’s creation. A thoroughly enjoyable listen from start to finish.

Yamin Semali – What I’m Living For

While the name (Yamin Semali) may be fairly new to the tongue, the person is not. Yamin has been making noise under the moniker AmDex for a while now as the left brain for Atlanta’s Clan Destined. Yamin’s first proper release shows that he’s a force to be reckoned with as a solo artist as well. It builds on his previous work and is a short- but-sweet helping of the dope beats and hip hop you already associate with the man.

Shigeto – Lineage

Zack Saginaw, aka Detroit’s Shigeto, has been a staple of electronic and beat scenes for a while now. His highly rhythmic spaced-out beats made him a household name amongst audiophiles, and his latest album doesn’t disappoint. An amalgamation of various types of beats, sounds, melodies, and moods; Lineage takes the listener on a journey and makes you want to listen to it all over again and soon as the last note falls.

Homeboy Sandman returns on his latest EP delivering more of the Queens artist we’ve come to know and love these past few years. His latest offering gives us fantastically fluid swing beats coupled with Homeboy’s undeniably sharp lyrical stylings.

The mad scientists Conspiracy and Spytek manifested a breathtaking new mix that though seemingly amorphous in shape (as it constantly evolves and changes), still oozes with the dark hip hop sounds you associate with Lee Harvey Oswald. The painstaking amount of work that went into this album shines though with every second.

Atlanta’s Patrick Loggins continues to crank out amazing, and frankly, mathematically frustrating tracks under his Time Wharp alias. His newly released BLK EP show’s a little different side than it’s brother-of-another-color GRN EP which Loggins released late last year. It’s two scoops jazz and one scoop hip hop, this time around (with a healthy dose of experimental goodness on top). All the same it’s still got that unmistakable Time Wharp sheen and is a treat on the ears.

Now that we have have your attention, we’ll divulge on what exactly that awesomeness was you just witnessed. That friends, was Mophono aka DJ Centipede (real name Benji Illgen). The San Francisco native has been a major player in the electronic and beat scenes for a while now. He’s a member of Flying Lotus’ Brainfeeder Collective (Mophono’s Cut Form Crush was originally a live session recorded with the man himself), founder of CB Records, and runs his own weekly “Change the Beat” event in his hometown. Mophono is a sample digger of the best kind, finding rare samples and forging them into head bobbing break beats, and even neck injuring bangers. His sound and his shows dictate that you feel his music at your very core. .

You can check out “Smile” by Mophono below.

You can watch captured footage of Nung River’s inaugural performance below with the show listing for their next scheduled appearance.
